Question:
Is it illegal to wrap your car in Christmas wrapping which is just paper ?
Answer:
It can’t have any religious tones or pictures of Santa or nativity scenes…or plastic straws, then you’d be arrested, especially in California… Seriously though, why would you want to do that except to wrap a car in a driveway to give as a present on Christmas morning? It wouldn’t be illegal except if you cover up windows, headlamps tail lights, mirrors, signals, basically anything that is required on a car and it cant impair your vision in any way. So basically you’d have to tape the Christmas paper to only the painted areas on your car, then have to deal with all the glue residue the tape leaves. And if it rains your screwed. Plus, if the paper comes flying off when driving down the road you could be cited, not to mention it being a hazard to other drivers having to swerve to avoid something flying at their windshield at 50 mph. So basically if the car is sitting in your driveway, go for it. If your going to drive it down the road then not a good idea. Lots of companies wrap cars in anything you want, I’m sure even a Christmas theme if you want it year round…
