- hi i was wondering if this is right i was pulled over on 1/11/11 by the local police department for window tint and i was ticketed a 125.00 fine but the tint has been on my car since 2002 and the window tint law was put into effect in 2004 right so i got the proof for him to see that is was done in 2002 and i know a little about the laws in Ohio and what they can and cannot do and when i told the cop that is an ex post facto law which is Latin for “after the fact,” which refers to laws adopted after an act is committed making it illegal although it was legal when done, or increases the penalty for a crime after it is committed. Such laws are specifically prohibited by the U. S. Constitution, Article I, Section 9. Therefore, if a state legislature or Congress enact new rules of proof or longer sentences, those new rules or sentences do not apply to crimes committed before the new law was adopted and the cop somehow forgot to give me my window tint receipt back to me and now i do not have it and that is and was the only time I’ve ever been pulled over in my life thanks

Subject: a man that won’t leave me
Hello. I have a boyfriend that lives with me. I want to break up with him and make him leave the house. I have tried to ask him to leave he refuses to he threated to hurt my dog and he will break things or they will magically disappear, i have to keep anything of value in my car all the time and I have changed the locks when he was out and he just broke the window when to get in. I have no family other than my son that lives with me. I can’t afford to move. I rent the place myself and pay the bills myself also. What can I do? I live in CA – I don’t know if different cities have different rules. Thank you for your time.

- Traffic Stop Safety… Cop Perspective
- Subject: Traffic Stops
I am a former police officer from Texas, now living in Las Vegas. I used to work a lot of TLE, and the Academy as well as my FTO always taught me to stop a violator off the street – a side street, parking lot, etc. – for two reasons (1) it was safer for the motorist and the officer, and (2) less chance of blocking traffic. But I see a lot of officers just stopping violators in the middle of busy streets – surely a huge safety hazard! Why don’t the officers order the motorists off the main streets before making the stop?

When coming to an intersection with two right turn only lanes, may I turn on red from the left right-turn lane?

If you get caught with a magazine but it is not yours and they don’t find a gun can you still get charged?? Also if they were to give you back the clip what does that mean? Also are police allowed to let you go after they are supposed to arrest you because you promise them something in return??
- Entrapment
- I have always been confused about what constitutes entrapment. Can you please talk about entrapment and how law enforcement structures their undercover sting operations to ensure entrapment is avoided? – Howard
